The Institute for Musicology is easily accessible via bus 216 from Deák Ferenc Square or buses 16, 116, or 16A from Széll Kálmán Square.
From the Airport to the Institute for Musicology
Several forms of transportation are available from the airport, including the rideshare apps Uber and Bolt. Budapest Airport also offers its taxi (read more here: https://fotaxi.eu/ and shuttle services (read more here:https://www.minibud.hu/en).
You can also use the Budapest Airport Express Bus (100E). The bus service has three separate city centre stops, including Kalvin Square, Astoria, and Deak Ferenc Square. The Airport Express bus runs daily, every 7–10 minutes throughout the day, and every 30–40 minutes from midnight to 3 a.m.
The cost of the journey is HUF 2,200 (€6) per person, and tickets can be purchased outside Budapest Airport Terminal 2 (cash and card accepted). You can also book using the BudapestGO app (read more here: bkk.hu/budapestpayandgo_en).
It takes around 45 mins to get from the airport to the city center (Deák Ferenc Square).
From the Train Station to the Institute for Musicology
Option 1
Budapest Keleti Train Station
Take Metro Line M2 (in the direction of Déli Train Station). Deák Ferenc Square is the third stop.
Option 2
Budapest Nyugati Train Station
Take Metro Line M3 (in the direction of Kőbánya-Kispest). Deák Square is the second stop.
